Opie Taylor
This pullover was inspired by my memory of little boys’ striped t-shirts in the 1960’s, when I was
growing up. A regular, rhythmic repeat of 3 colors, like Opie’s on the Andy Griffith Show. The
silhouette is more modern - a shape that is comfortable and easy to wear, and flattering, not sloppy.
The body shape is increased from the bottom rib resulting in an oversized bust measurement;
Finished Bust: 48 (52, 56, 60, 64) (68, 72, 76, 80)”/120 (130, 140, 150, 160) (170, 180, 190, 200) cm
The schematic at the end of the pattern and your body measurements will help you decide which size best suits you.
Blackberry Ridge Medium Weight (250 yds/229 m per 4 oz/113 g skein) in Turquoise (MC) 3 (3, 3, 3, 3) (4, 4, 4, 4) skeins; 20% Gray (CC1) 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s); and Cream (CC2) 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s), or 530 (550, 610, 650, 740) (775, 810, 870, 935) yds/485 (505, 560, 600, 675) (710, 770, 800, 855) m of MC and 180 (190, 210, 220, 255) (265, 285, 300, 320) yds/165 (175, 190, 205, 230) (245, 265, 275, 295) m each of CC1 and CC2.
