Opposing Lines Blanket
by Tara M Clark
This blanket is made of simple stitches that come together to make a visual impact. The pattern is a repeat of horizontal lines and vertical lines. It is technically a 12-row repeat, but it is really quite simple and not at all hard to remember.
I used one cake of Yarn Art Flowers Alpaca. My blanket is 34.5” square. You can use a thicker weight yarn and corresponding hook, but the number of rows will be different, changing the visual impact of the pattern. I made another example in worsted weight yarn. I used about 405g (885 yards) to make a 36” square blanket.
Skill Level: Beginner
Gauge: 19 st and 9 rows in 4” square (double crochet)
Supplies:
- 1,028 yards of #2 sport weight yarn
- 3.5mm hook
