Opposites Effect
A modern take on the cloche hat, Opposites Effect is worked from the top down, starting with a disappearing loop cast on. The stacked increases in Tilde Brioche make it easy to keep track of your progress and are a beautiful focal point of the design. Two Colour Brioche and wrap & turn short rows create the high contrast brim.
This hat gives you the opportunity to make a statement with a side of playfulness.
I’ve added an addundum to the pattern. The beret style uses the same crown shaping and requires only a few changes to give you a different look. I’ve included instructions for all sizes and additional tips to make your work flow more intuitive and relaxed.
You will get the cloche hat and the beret with your purchase.
The pattern includes:
- written instructions
- video tutorials for Brioche basics (stitches, increases & decreases) and pattern stitches
- tips for working Brioche, reading your fabric
