This sock pattern is named for the balance that an individual can achieve by extension in opposite directions - specifically inspired by dance, but there are lots of instances where opposition can lead to better balance.

The opposition seen in the sock is created with traveling stitches in stockinette. The sock is written as a cuff-down pattern and has a heel flap and gusset. To do the traveling stitches you just need to know how to knit, knit through the back loop, and knit two stitches together.

Sizing
Small (56 st) - fits foot circumference of 7” - 8.5” / 19 cm - 23 cm
Medium (64 st) - fits foot circumference of 8” - 9.5” / 20 cm - 24 cm
Large (72 st) - fits foot circumference of 9” - 10” / 23 - 25 cm

Note that doing a longer leg or foot will require more yardage.
