I’ve been told the evil genius is at work again.

Since first receiving the moniker from the first person to tackle my Lorigami Glove, I have continued to churn out patterns that are both simple and challenging - unless you think outside the box - then they are simply intriguing. The technique that earned this a skill level rating of NUTS! from one of my peers is working three colours in one row 8 out of 12 rounds.

I noticed that my patterns lacked more masculine content so I went delving through the internet searching for men’s fashion for 2019. I found a number of pieces that were heavy on the neutrals with a splash of colour, some much more vibrant than the teal I’ve used here.

The overall optical diamond pattern is also a variation on a theme found in some of the runway pullovers so any man wearing this hat will be completely in fashion this winter!

While the unstretched size of the hat is 18” around, it stretches to 22” comfortably.

The pattern is also very easy to make bigger or smaller around simply by adding or subtracting multiples of 6 stitches. The original size only take 35 - 55m of each of the three colours!

The final photo on this page shows just some of the colours men are encouraged to wear this fall. Feel free to substitute any of them for the teal when you make this hat.
