Man’s calf-length socks with wide rib, knitted top down or toe up on 4 dpns, a full and separate pattern being provided for each. Either pattern could be adapted for 2 circular needles or magic loop by an experienced knitter. Although this was designed for a man, the pattern could also fit a woman with high instep or larger leg width: choose a gorgeous colour, adjust the leg length and knit fewer rows of cuff to make it feminine.
