Dyed and embroidered mid-calf summer socks with scallop edge trim. Embroidered flowers are placed over eyelet holes. The leg can be shortened by knitting fewer eyelet pattern repeats. Size can be changed from medium to large size by swapping 2.5mm needles for 2.75mm needles.

Besides yarn and needles, requirements are:

• a coloured dye,
• various colours of silk embroidery thread and a sewing needle,
• scraps of multicoloured 4-ply yarn for making small flowers.
