Hues of orange, pink, coral, tangerine… A very slight touch of mauve… These make me think of velvety peaches. Then immediately follow other images of summer: golden wheat fields dotted with bright red poppies, strolling through orchards full of promises, listening to crickets singing their song in the warmth of the day, lounging on a quiet garden patio… With the Orangerie cowl, I wanted to capture all these images and memories.
The Orangerie cowl is worked in an all-over pattern of interlacing lace stitches. The lightweight yarn and the openness of the lace give the cowl an airy and delicate quality.
This cowl will, for sure, add a touch of sophistication and flair to your summery outfits.

For best effect, use a smooth, round yarn with reasonable stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Lace to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or tonal variegated yarns, or a single skein gradient yarn.

Do you like the Orangerie cowl? You might like those patterns too: The Mettā cowl, and the Brambasi scarf / stole. For endless fun with airy summer lace! Check them out!
