Bring the ocean to your home with this beautiful orca (killer whale) blanket! The entire blanket is worked in corner-to-corner (C2C). The ombre effect comes from the yarn used for the background, so every blanket will be unique.

  • To minimize the number of ends to weave in, I cut a 1”-or-so tail every time I changed colors. I wove the tail through the square it came from so it was sticking up into the next row. Then, when I got to the matching color in that next row, I crocheted over the tail.
    • If I didn’t use the same color in the next row, or if there wasn’t enough of that color in the next row to cover the tail, I went ahead and wove in the tail as normal.
  • When switching colors, use the new color for the last yarn-over-and-pull-through on the final double crochet of the previous square.
