This pattern is available from etsy.com for $5.99.

Pattern for an Orchid (Paphiopedilum) Throw. This pattern comes with both a graph and written instructions.

You will need 2-3 skeins of Black, 1 skein of white, 1 skein of red, 1 skein of pink and 1 skein of green to complete this project.

125 stiches wide by 121 rows tall

(Mine came out 50” tall by 40” wide, but this will vary based on how tight your stitching is and the type of yarn you use.

This pattern can be made with the type of yarn of your choice. I recommend a medium weight yarn and a crochet hook size J (6.00MM).

It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn (there are great youtube videos that can teach you how to do the Tapestry Crochet Technique. I highly recommend trying a small simple pattern to practice carrying yarn before attempting a larger project. Carrying yarn gets more difficult as you add more colors.

Once you have purchased this pattern a text document that like this (below) will automatically download to you. If you have any trouble receiving it message me and I will have it e-mailed to you in no time. This pattern also comes with a Graph!

1.) A-150
2.) A-30, B-20, A-10, B-50
3….

The #’s are for each row
The letters are for different colors. (A = White, B = Black, C = Red, D = Pink, E = Green)
(so the above pattern would have the first row be 150 stitches of color A. 2nd row would have 30 stitches of color A followed by 20 stitches of color B followed by 10 stitches of color A and so on….)

I make custom patterns as well. If you are interested in a pattern that does not exist message me and we can talk about having one custom designed for you.
