Sizing and Dimensions
Approximately 6.5” (16.5 cm) wide (the ribbing is very stretchy!) and 9.25” (23.5 cm) from brim to crown lying flat, measured after a light blocking. The hat is very stretchy and fits 20”-24” (50.8 cm - 61 cm) heads. Size is easily adjusted and explained in pattern.

Gauge
28 St / 41 Rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch after a light blocking.

Recommended Yarn:
The Fiber Seed, “Sprout Sock” (90% Merino Wool (superwash) 10% Nylon) Fingering Weight, 510 yds (466 m), 4.76 oz (135 g) in Boca (Approx. 302 yds (276 m) needed)

Supplies

  • Two sets of US2 (2.75 mm) needles or size to obtain gauge Pattern may be knit on DPNs, a long circular for magic loop, a short circular, or on 2 circulars. The second needle will be used when joining the provisional cast on to the brim.
