This simple hat is worked bottom-up.

It features a sideways brim knitted flat, with “earflaps” to keep you extra warm.
This earflap band is then joined in the round, and the stitches for the body of the hat are picked up and worked in the round.

Slipped stitches
Picking up stitches
Knitting in the round
Stockinette in the round
