This shawl was specifically designed to bring out the particularities of a variegated yarn in a stockinette section. The lace pattern is enhanced with a single-coloured yarn that captures one of the other yarn’s shades. It is also possible to knit the whole shawl with a single yarn, 2 solid-coloured yarn or 2 types of fibres to play on textures.

Material
Medium size: 2 x 250m / 275yrds of fingering-weight yarn
Large size: 1 x 500m / 550yrds and 1 x 350m / 380yrds of fingering-weight yarn
You could also make the large shawl using a lace-weight yarn and smaller needles.

Ce châle a été conçu spécialement pour mettre d’abord en valeur un fil de plusieurs couleurs dans une section tricotée en jersey. Le motif de dentelle a d’autant plus d’impact qu’il est tricoté dans un fil uni, reprenant l’une des teintes de l’autre fil. Il demeure possible de tricoter le châle avec un seul fil, avec deux fils de couleur unie, ou même avec des fils différents pour un jeu de textures.

Taille moyenne : 2 x 250 m de fil “fingering”
Grande taille : 1 x 500 m et 1 x 350 m de fil “fingering”
Vous pourriez également faire la grande taille avec un fil de dentelle et des aiguilles plus petites.
