I knit in church. It really irks my sister, but it gives the part of my mind that would otherwise be wandering something to do. Afterall, one can only count the organ pipes so many times. Just don’t ask me how many, as I never got an accurate count. The columns of the stitch pattern remind me of the giant pipes of the organ.

The pattern features alternating columns of faggoting and mock cables and is written as both toe up and cuff down. The columns continue down (up) the heel flap. The resulting sock is nice and lacey, perfect for spring and summer.

The mock cables are formed by twisted stitches.

For the toe up version, some adjustment in the cabled columns will most likely be necessary to get the cables to line up on the cuff.

Toe up directions are on pages 2 & 3, while cuff down directions are on pages 4 & 5. General information is on page 1.
