Featured in our January 2021 Sock of the Month box.
The closest thing to walking barefoot is to walk in socks made out of organic fibers. The comfort and temperature control are so natural that you do not notice that you have something on your feet. And then you look and admire the beautiful open work stitch pattern that flows from the toe all the way to the rib.
This project keeps you entertained with four easy stitch patterns. The socks are done from toe-up. The Broderie Anglaise stitch pattern is placed on top of the foot and after the heel is done it continues around the leg circumference up to the cuff. The square heel features a heel slip-stitch pattern with a heel flap, but no gusset.
You can work socks two-at-a-time on two circs but the pattern is written for one circ. This project requires knitting knowledge including: knit/purl, decreasing, picking up stitches, either on double-pointed or circular needles.
