The last of the light filters through the trees, lighting the edges of the leaves in gold and scarlet. The blazing heat fades with the light, and a breath of chill prickles across bare shoulders. Airy dresses are not quite warm enough for the evening, but a jacket or sweater seems a betrayal to the summer day just now ending. The only concession to the cold that can be made is a pretty, lacy shawl to drape around the neck and shoulders.
Oriilia Shawl is a crescent shawl, with the edging knit side-to-side first, and then the body from the edging up. It is suitable for fingering weight yarns that block well, in solid or semi-solid colours. Choose from two sizes – the small is a shawl for a child or a shawlette for an adult, while the large is an adult-sized shawl. Either size will provide the right bit of warmth for a fading summer day, or the right touch of lace for any outfit.
