This pattern was inspired by the fingerless mittens worn by Ori the dwarf on the movie The Hobbit. It is the first in a series of The Hobbit inspired patterns written for young knitters.
This pattern comes with two versions. One is for an adult size and the other for a child’s size. Having the different sizes available on different patterns makes it easier for children, and beginner knitters to follow the pattern without confusion.

Skills required:
Garter Stitch (knit every row)
Increase by knitting into the front & the back of a stitch (kfb)
Decrease by knitting 2 stitches together (K2tog)
