This is a child-sized addition to our Orkney series. As shown, it features an easy crocheted edging, but if you prefer, you may opt for a knitted alternative (not shown). We used a springy merino wool yarn by Trendsetter in crayon colors, but another bouncy worsted-weight yarn may be substituted. Nothing prevents using long color-run worsted-weight yarn, or a single, solid or tweed colorway, perhaps with a second colorway for borders.

Finished chest circumference: 20.5, 25, and 29.75 inches. Finished length: 10 (12, 14 1⁄4) inches.

Worsted weight yarn, approximately 400 (560, 760) yds total: 80 (110, 150) yds each Color A and Color C; 120 (170, 230) yds each Color B and Color D.

A slipped-stitch selvedge is used on back and sleeves; a garter stitch selvedge is used on fronts.
