This pattern of Orly the Owl toy is available as a chart or a written pattern giving you the choice of which instructions to follow.

All pattern PDF’s are available in full color as well as a plain text for ease of printing. Patterns are suited to the advanced beginner or the intermediate knitter. The front and back are knit flat and seemed together. You’ll also do a little sewing to attach the felt eyes, wings, and the knitted feet. You will use the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on, casting off, increasing, and decreasing.

The owl is approximately 10” x 8”, excluding the feet/wings.

Materials needed:
Set of 4 double-pointed needles (US 5, or slightly smaller size than recommended on ball band)
KnitPicks Swish Worsted (or similar for colors needed)
Poly fill or other stuffing material
Stitch holders
Darning needle
Two large buttons for eyes
Contrast thread
Wool felt for wings/eyes
