Ormus a hooded oversized cardigan with an all-over waffle texture. It is knitted from the top down and stitches are picked up to work the sleeves, hood and button band. The stitch pattern is very easy to remember and requires no purling when worked flat. This means that you will only need to purl a little bit while working the sleeves in the round and for the ribbing. The sleeves are meant to be super wide with super steep decreases at the bottom to create a dramatic bell shape located under the wrist.

This cardigan is meant to be worn with approximately 10” // 25 cm of positive ease at the bust, and 6” // 15 cm of positive ease around the upper arm. To pick a size, add 10” // 25 cm to your actual bust circumference and pick the size that is the closest to that number.

Needles and Notions

• 4 mm (US6) circular needles of different lengths.
• 10 (10, 10, 10){11, 11, 11) buttons with a diameter of approximately 20 mm.

Ormus est un cardigan ample à capuchon qui se tricote du haut vers le bas. Il comporte un point texturé gaufré facile à retenir et qui, lorsque tricoté à plat, ne nécessite aucune maille envers. Les seules mailles envers seront celles sur les côtes et sur les manches puisqu’elles sont tricotées en rond. Des mailles sont relevées afin de tricoter les manches, le capuchon ainsi que la bande de boutonnage. Les manches sont faites très amples avec des diminutions rapides au bas afin de créer un effet bouffant dramatique sous le poignet.
