needles: 3 mm (US 2.5) circular needles 80/100 cm (32-40 in), or to meet gauge
other: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, hair tie, unstretched circumference 10 cm (4 in) for each scrunchie, or similar

Gauge:

28 stitches x 40 rounds in 10x10 cm (4x4 in) in stockinette stitch, blocked
