I would categorize this as an intermediate/experience knit. Techniques used are intarsia and cables. To create a reversible design you need to work with multiple strands of yarn at one time.

Notes:

  • The scarf uses intarsia and cable techniques to create the DNA sequences and can be worn as a reversible scarf.

  • Instructions are provided as charted pattern only, but includes detailed stitch explanation and photo-tutorial

  • I highly recommend to use this as a practice to do cable knitting without a cable needle. It is so much easier and faster. Follow this link for video tutorial how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6DB6WhAKvY
