Looking for something a little different? How about this wild pair of fingerless gloves. With stitches going every which way, these are fun to knit and a blast to wear. Use a variegated yarn to accentuate the different stitch directions.

Wrap and Turn: This is a standard part of knitting short rows. Once you’ve knit the required number of stitches, you wrap the working yarn around the next stitch on the left hand needle, returning it to the left hand needle. Then you turn the work and continue in the other direction. Later you will pick up the wraps by looping the wrapping yarn up onto the needle and working it with the wrapped stitch. This prevents there from being holes in the work. Here’s a video that shows the technique.
