Oscar Bear
Oscar bear is a cute and cuddly traditional style teddy bear. He originally appeared in the crochet toy supplement cover gift with issue 3 of Crochet Now magazine. He is designed using simple amigurumi techniques in order to be suitable for a beginner. You’ll need the following skills:
Double crochet in rounds, increasing and decreasing.
You will need approximately 200m of DK yarn if you wish to substitute. When choosing a hook size, it is important to make sure your stitches are close enough that stuffing will not work through.
You will also need some toy stuffing, plastic eyes and nose or embroidery thread if making for a child. A locking stitch marker is recommended to help you keep track of rounds.
