Oscar The Monkey
Oscar The Monkey by @aoi_ladybug
Oscar loves peaches, but dislikes bananas. You think all monkeys love bananas, not this one, he looks at one and turns away in disgust. The look he pulls is hilarious, he makes a disgusted sound and sticks his tongue out. He does not like wearing clothes, but doesn’t mind a blanket being wrapped around him while he sleeps. He has to have 3 peaches a day or he’ll become sad and hides. He enjoys painting with his tail, he is very creative.
Oscar is a loveable little guy.
Skill Level: Beginners
Oscar is 37.5 cm tall and 16 cm wide from ear to ear. If you choose to use the same yarn or any DK yarn and same hook size, you should have the same measurements as mine, although it may differ slightly due to the tension of your stitches. So work your stitches tight.
Materials
- 2.75mm hook
- Scheepjes Softfun 50g (140 metres) DK Yarn: 2x (Blue) 2603 and 1x (Green Tea) 2639 (You can use any DK yarn and any preferred colour. Technically I didn’t use 2 full balls of yarn in the blue, but 1 and 1/3 of a ball. If you get a 100g ball of DK yarn, then only 1 ball is needed)
- (Brown) 632 DMC thread, (Pale pink) 1094 Anchor thread, and a Blue colour, slightly darker than the colour of Oscar. You don’t need to use these exact threads.
- Flesh coloured felt or any colour you prefer, that matches the colour of your monkey
- Toy stuffing
- Embroidery and tapestry needle
- Stitch marker or I use a piece of yarn cut from previous projects, usually DK cotton blend, I separate the strands and use 1 strand as a stitch marker. Be careful as there are times I have pulled it out of place, just hold it in place while working the first few sts.
- Sewing pins (bead heads, so they don’t get lost in your work)
- Scissors

I have taken the time to put this pattern together, making sure it is clear and understandable and adding many images too. I chose to make this a free pattern as it is my first time sharing a pattern and it is an easy pattern. With that said, here is my pattern and I hope you respect my wishes, thank you.
