The Osteospermum Mosaic Overlay Pattern was inspired by yellow and purple osteospermum daisies from my flowerbed. However, this pattern can be constructed from any desired color combination imaginable. The photo samples were constructed using Scheepjes Color Crafter in Leuven (Yellow) and Antwerpen (Purple). You can substitute Scheepjes with Stylecraft Special DK (light worsted). Suitable color combinations can also be achieved with Paintbox, Yarn Bee or your own personal favorite brand. You will need an approximate 3,300 yds acrylic dk/light worsted yarn (Recommended 5 Skeins each color, based on 330 yds per skein)

The pattern is worked along the 53” length of the blanket, allowing the fringe to fall top and bottom. (See image illustration).

The featured border is composed of 2DC cluster stitches, divided by SC and worked on the back/wrong side, along the length of the blanket. The border is optional and not included with the mosaic graph. It is, however, included as an optional feature in the written instructions.

Included with this pattern: written instructions, expandable mosaic graph, specs, glossary of abbreviations, graph keys and notes for beginners.

Printing written instructions to use with expandable graph is advisable for beginners to mosaic overlay.
