A toy can be made of different types of yarn, but it is important to choose the appropriate ratio of thickness of yarn and hook size:
- yarn thickness ratio should be 2:1 (yarn for the body should be twice as thick as yarn for the eyes);
- hook for the eyes should be 1.5 mm smaller than for the body (for example, 3.5 mm-2 mm, 3.75 mm-2.25 mm, 4 mm-2.5 mm).
A toy height:
- 18 cm/7” without tentacles;
- 42 cm/15.5” with tentacles.
