Ostracion Turritis is a triangle shawl with center panel featuring lace, stockinette stitch and horseshoes.

This pattern has been inspired by the illustration of the species Ostracion Turritis (Slide #42: Ostraciontes, No. 10) in Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur.

It is part of the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.

Size is completely adjustable. Sample shown measures 60 x 20 in (152 x 50 cm) after blocking.
