A hap named for Swedish feminist, Elise Ottesen-Jensen whose work has recently inspired me.

Pattern notes
This hap is knitted, all in one piece, from tip to edging. A few stitches are cast on, and the body of the hap is worked in garter stitch, increasing along one edge to create a long triangular shape, using a nifty slip stitch technique at the end of each row to create a neat corded edge. A deep and decorative auld shell (old shell) edging is added to complete
the bottom of the hap.

Yarn
Kate Davies Designs Ooskit (100% British Wool; 220m / 240yds per 100g skein) and Schiehallion (100% Wool: 70% Corriedale, 30% Cheviot, 110m / 120yds per 50g skein) Yarn A Ooskit (Horkel): 4 x 100g skeins
Yarn B Ooskit (Domra): 1 x 100g skein
Yarn C Schiehallion (Crowdie): 1 x 50g skein
Approximate yardage of each shade required:
Yarn A 815 yards; Yarn B 90 yards; Yarn C 90 yards

Needles and Notions
80-100cm 24-32 in gauge-size needle.
Tapestry needle.

Gauge
18 sts and 14 ridges (28 rows) to 4 ins over garter stitch (laid
flat, without stretching).
Gauge was achieved on a 5.5 mm needle.
Achieving gauge is not crucial for this pattern. However, if your gauge differs radically from that given it may significantly affect the quantity of yarn required, as well as the finished dimensions of your hap.
