Gauge 4 in / 10cm – 14-15 stitches

Recommended yarn: any to obtain the gauge. Aran or thicker Worsted for regular look, or thinner yarn on larger needles for daintier look.

Recommended needle size: to obtain the gauge. Your needle size might vary depending on how tight or loose your knitting is. Please be sure to make a gauge swatch to make sure you obtain the gauge. For most, 6mm needles work the best.

You will need: one button, matching thread to sew on the button, yarn (up to 120 grams), knitting needles, darning needle to weave in the yarn ends and to graft the crotch part, one stitch marker (optional – four more stitch markers), scrap yarn or stitch holder. Small amount of yarn (up to 20 grams) for the skirt part and needles to obtain the same gauge.

Upper part and bottom of the romper is knit flat. Long sleeves, middle part and skirt part are knit in the round.

The pattern (along with 21 other newborn sized patterns) in newborn size only is also included in the book Tiny Knits for Tiny People (it is available on Amazon).
