Otterbein Hat
Construction: Otterbein is a cabled beanie-style hat with a ribbed brim that segues neatly into the cable pattern. This pattern includes both written and charted versions.
Skill level: Intermediate
Skills needed:knitting in the round, basic cabling; twisting stitches, and decreasing by k2tog, ssk, and p2tog.
Size: Small (Large) Adult
Circumference: 17”(19”) unstretched; Stretches up to 22” (26”)
Height: 8 ½” (9 ½”)
Gauge: 19 sts and 26 rows per 4” in stockinette stitch knit flat OR 25 sts and 24 rows in body of hat pattern
Materials:

US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle and double pointed needles, or size needed to reach gauge
