Otto The Baby Chick
Meet Otto The Baby Chick!
He is a boy in a baby chick costume. He is a bit shy because of his peculiar little feet. But don’t let that deter you, he’s got interchangeable feet! A bonus pair of shoes just to boot! Oh and a little egg pouch that is just as cute.
Otto can be a little chick but don’t be afraid to use colour combinations to ‘age him up’.
This pattern is an 11 page PDF file that contains annotated photos and written instructions to help you make your very own Otto!

Pattern Notes
This pattern is mainly worked in spirals using the X single crochet stitch unless otherwise stated. There is no special gauge for this pattern, but do try to keep even tension throughout. The colour change should always happen in the last step of last stitch. To ensure the Head does not wobble on the neck, a wooden dowel/bamboo skewer is inserted. Secure plastic eyes and nose (pin head) with glue on the inside of work, along the shaft and/or to the back of eyes and nose (pin head). If the pin head and/or eyes are unavailable, simply embroider the details in place. If planning for use among children under the age of 10 years, embroider on eyes and nose. Otto The Baby Chick measures approximately 7.5’’/19cm when using same materials and even tension.
