Our Mysterious Summer Scarf
When Mable, Dipper and Waddles arrived back home after the summer, Mable immediately started knitting a scarf as a reminder of this adventurous summer. Waddles helped her of course. She chose a dark blue yarn to represent Dipper and a rainbow yarn for herself. She spun the rainbow yarn from leftover unicorn hair. Well, if you’re already collecting unicorn hair you can’t just go with just a handful, that would be unreasonable…right?! For emergencies, you need more… yes, yes.
The drawings are from the first day in the
Shack until the fight with Bill. A memory was immortalized for each day. Bill was displayed in the middle of the scarf. Like a deer on the wall, her trophy. So that every time she looks in the mirror, she can see how brave she is and what she can achieve if she believes in herself. She never wants to be afraid of growing up again.
Now you too can knit Mable’s scarf, I hope you have fun :).
Pattern includes written instructions for the overall project, but the body of the scarf is all charted (no written instructions for that).
The scarf uses an invisible cast-on, invisible bind-off, and slipped edges.
