CROCHET OUTSOLES WITH FOOT-SHAPE - 4 STANDARD SIZES

This is the method I use as outsoles for indoor wear.
Perfect for one-piece slippers and socks.

• The soles protect your slippers, and make them warmer, sturdier, and extend their life-time.
• It looks nice, giving a professional touch to your creations.
• Soles made of hemp or jute can be used for street wear!
• Option: Work slippers directly around the sole’s edge.

• For me it’s important to have left/right foot-shape on outsoles, an oval is not good enough! These soles are easy to make for anyone that can decrease and increase in single crochet.

• In order to make the soles as strong, sturdy and solid as possible, they are made in hemp-twine. See material-list below for other suggestions.

MATERIALS:

Hemp-twine, 2 mm thick.
A normal packing-twine found in any hardware store, supermarket, office-supplier, craft-store, post-office, or online.
Other strong natural materials:
Fibers like jute, bast, or flax (linen).

Yarn:
Achieve great soles with normal yarn too.
Yarn-weight Light/3 or Medium/4 should do, see gauge in pattern.

Crochet hook:
European metric 4,5mm (US 7), or the size needed to
obtain gauge in instruction.

4 adult-sizes:
Small = US 2 - 4 / EU 34-36
Medium = US 5 - 6 / EU 37-38
Large= US 7 - 8/ EU 39-40
Extra Large = 9-10 / EU 41-42

The S-Size can be worn by kids:
Shoe size about US 1-4 - EU 32-36.
