Outback Shawl
Inspired by the rustic aesthetic of the Australian outback, the Outback Collection features patterns that are perfect for layering with an outfit. The collection includes a poncho, a triangle shawl (this one you’re looking at), a hooded cowl, and a bandana. All of the patterns are Beginner - Intermediate, but they include in depth photo tutorials that guide you through the pattern, no matter what skill level you are.
You can find all of the patterns in the Outback Collection here on my Ravelry store.
This shawl can be used either as a shoulder wrap or as a pointed scarf. It features a tassel at each corner of the triangle which are completely optional.
To make this pattern you will need:
- Weight #3 light/DK yarn (approx. 686m total) - I used Caron Skinny Cake for the sample shown which is a little on the thinner side for a weight #3
- 5mm crochet hook
- Scissors, tapestry needle, tape measure, stitch markers
- To make the tassels, you will need scissors, cardboard 12cm x 12cm (two pieces) and approx. 25m of yarn for each tassel
Total wingspan: 148cm
Height: 74cm
