I wanted to make something soft, pure, simple and relaxed. A sweater that could be my companion for my outdoorlife during all seasons, whether I go to the beach, the mountains or just for a walk. When I found this nice alpaca from Scachenmayr I knew exactly what I would create.

This sweater is a fusion beteween three cultures; the pattern is inspired by the lovely Guernsey-sweaters and the beautiful alpaca from Peru is mixed with my Scandinavian taste for pure and simple lines.
The result is an elegant, relaxed sweater, easy to wear and to cherish.

The knittingpart should be convenient for an intermediate to an advanced knitter. Apart from reading a chart, being accurate and making twisted stiches no special skills are required. The twisted ribs look like small cables, but you do not need a cable needle to make them. The body and arms are worked in the round, assembled at the beginning of the armholes, and then worked in the round from there. You can choose to make 3/4 sleeves or full length sleeves; I give you instructions for both.
The patterned frontpanel as well as the twisted ribs in the sides makes it interesting to knit. The twisted ribs continues beautifully from the ribs to the sideseams.
Sizing is generous, but due to the neat raglanshaping it does not feel bulky. The pattern is both a written pattern and a chart for the Guernsey-inspired pattern in front.
