• DESCRIPTION

This capelet pattern has been inspired by Brianna’s capelet from season 4, episode 9 ‘The birds and the bees’ from the TV series Outlander.

This capelet is created by working a series of short rows for shaping.

Yarn

1 x 100g black (Alize Superlana Maxi – 60).

2 x 100g light grey (Alize Superlana Maxi – 208 or a darker grey 21).

1 x 100g brown (Alize Superlana Maxi – 240).

Any bulky weight yarn (05)/Chunky/12 Ply.

I used Alize Superlana Maxi Yarn.

You can purchase Alize yarns from YarnStreet or on Etsy.

Yarn substitute – Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Chunky.

Needles

8mm (US 11) knitting needles - I used my interchangeable needles on a 40”/100cm cable as there were many stitches - I did not join in the round to knit

• SKILLS

Level – Intermediate

This is an intermediate-level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, yarn over, short rows, casting on, and casting off.

• SIZING

The smaller size comes first and the larger size is in the () after.
Small/Medium/Large.
