Claire’s cowl crochet pattern will allow you to create a large chunky scarf that can be wrapped around your neck twice.
Inspired by the cowl/scarf that Claire wears in Outlander season 1, episode 3 ‘The way out’.

• DESCRIPTION
This pattern is written using US crochet terms.
Claire’s cowl crochet pattern will allow you to create a large chunky scarf that can be wrapped around your neck twice.
Inspired by the cowl/scarf that Claire wears in Outlander season 1, episode 3 ‘The way out’.
Yarn
2 x Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick - Color = Barley.
Total yarn needed - 340g/212 yds/194m
Any UK Super Chunky/USA Super Bulky/AUS 14 Ply yarn will be suitable
for this project.
Hook
10 mm (US N-15) hook.
• SKILLS
Level - Basic
This is a basic level crochet pattern and the techniques involved are creating a chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.
• SIZING
Length (laying flat and not stretched out before seaming) = 54 inches/ 137 cm
Width (laying flat and not stretched out) = 8 inches/21 cm
One size
You can easily adjust the size of the cowl (to make it smaller or larger) by working fewer or more rows than given in the pattern.
You will need more yarn to make a larger size (1 ball of yarn).
