Outlander shawl
This pattern has been inspired by the Outlander story and the warmth of wool needed in Scotland particularly in the 1700s.
Outlander knit shawl.
With 2 stripes at the bottom of the shawl and a button for easy fixing of the ends of the shawl at the back.
The shawl is knitted from top to bottom.
The easy pattern is written in English.
Alpaca Royal from Alize
Yardage 273 yards (250 meters)
Unit weight 100 grams (3.53 ounces)
Gauge
22.0 sts = 4 inches
Yarn A - Alize Alpaca Royal - in the colour 567 – green x 2 (XS) x 3 (S-M) x 4 (M-L)
Yarn B - Alize Alpaca Royal - in the colour 60 - Black x 1 (XS) x 1 (S-M) x 1 (M-L)
Yarn C - Alize Alpaca Royal - in the colour – beige x 1 (XS) x 1 (S-M) x 1 (M-L)
Needles
4 mm (US 6) knitting needles – I used my interchangeable circular needles on a 40″ /100 cm cable as there were many stitches – I did not join in the round to knit.
5 mm (US 8) interchangeable circular needles to cast off.
Please note - the measurements below are just a rough guide, you can knit this shawl until it is comfortable for you to wear - test it out against yourself to see if you want to make the length shorter or longer before casting off.
XS: 67” (170 cm) / H - 33” (85 cm);
S-M: 74” (190 cm) / 37” (95 cm);
M-L: 83” (210 cm) / 41” (105 cm).
