Outside the Lines Shawl
A statement shawl that uses color-changing yarn and continuous crochet motifs to get a very unusual effect.
This project uses my Breakaway Crochet techniques to work 2 different motifs continuously and joined-as-you-go. Because the yarn “doesn’t know” how to keep the colors within each motif, the colors spill over from one motif to the next, making it look like you have coloured outside the lines.
Solid coloured yarn looks good for this shawl too!
The shawl uses almost exactly 3 balls of Abbey Road Sunshine Cotton, so if you want to be extra safe then perhaps have an extra ball on hand, or since this is multi-coloured, you might have a scrap of other cotton yarn to fill any shortfalls.
The shawl is a trapezoid shape, but can be easily made triangular once you get to know the pattern (you will need extra yarn).
