These socks feature a folded cuff with a moon phases motif, simple all over colorwork, and an afterthought heel. I like them as shorty socks (great for partial skeins!).

2 sizes to fit an 8” or 9” foot (pattern is written for 64 and 72 st cast ons)
Yarn Needed Fingering weight yarn in 2 colors: I knit the smaller size to fit 9” feet and used about 30g/140 yds of the main color (dark blue), 15g/75 yds of the white/brown contrast.
Needles Size US 1.5 (2.5 mm) 40” needles for Magic Loop or whatever size needed to get gauge (I used a size larger than my “normal” sock needles).
Gauge 1”= 9 stitches and 13 rows after blocking in stockinette stitch. row gauge is not particularly important
Notions stitch marker, waste yarn, tapestry needle, scissors.
