“Over The Sea”
Using a wave pattern created with knit and purl stitches, I have created this cowl in DK yarn on 4mm needles.
My inspiration has come from re watching the Outlander series and the thread in the story of the Jacobite gold being carried over the sea.
It is a simple design with the front edge having a wave detail which is then reflected in the main stitch pattern.
Creating a warm snug cowl to wear over a jumper or tucked into a coat on a cold day, it provides warmth and comfort to the neck area.
I have chosen yarn that highlights the stitch pattern well and required only a little blocking of the wave cast on edge to bring the piece to life.

There are no charts and the knitting is worked flat on two needles.
