Most of my designs are done with straight needles, and Caron Simply Soft Light Yarns. They are soft and durable; since these clothes are designed to be played with, I want them to be machine washable, yet look nice and feel soft. Since you will need one 3 oz skein of each to work in two colors, you will have plenty of yarn.

The onesie is worked in one piece from the top down, and seamed at the back. The overalls are worked from the bottom up and require two buttons. They are also seamed in the back. The beanie is embellished with a small flower, which is anchored with a button.

This pattern was designed for a 14” American Girl Bitty Baby® or Corolle Baby Doll, the Mon Bebe Classique®. It will fit a Madame Alexander®® or a Baby Stella® doll, but I would make it a bit shorter. I would also make the body of the leggings a bit shorter. On the Madame Alexander® it will be slightly baggy. If you are an experienced knitter, you can reduce the number of stitches by 2 on each leg and throughout the bodice of both the onesie and the overalls and you will get a better fit. If you are knitting for Baby Stella® you may want to make the sleeves and the legs a bit shorter; the picture shows what it fits like using the lengths shown in the pattern.
