This ribbed cowl with the overcast stitch embellishment will easily become one of your favorites…both to knit and to wear. The pattern is easy to loom knit….the only stitches you need to know are the e-wrap stitch, u-knit stitch, and purl stitch. In just an evening or two, you can create this eye-catching cowl.

The pattern uses any 5/8” gauge loom with a minimum of 31 pegs (this is equivalent to the 48-peg purple round Knifty Knitter adult hat loom). Approximately 250 yards of Herrschners Chenille yarn (a light worsted weight yarn) was used in the sample.
