The overlap/envelope neckline make it easy to put this sweater on a baby.

Knit in the round up to the underarm, it is then divided into front and back and worked flat with short rows to shape the overlap neckline. There is no neck border, the buttons shown in one view are decorative, not functional. Arms are picked up and worked from the shoulder to the cuff.

I reworked the pattern a little bit since 2008, and added one smaller size.
