This mandala is worked in overlay crochet technique. This technique is deeply rooted in cable and Aran crochet. Overlay crochet created a symmetric textured design.

I used following materials for this mandala:
Cotton yarn CATANIA (yarn weight: fingering /sport; yardage: 136 yds.; weight: 1.76 ounce) and the hook 2.5 mm.

The pattern features detailed instructions. Each round of the mandala will be explained through a written instruction and one or more pictures (45 pages).
The pattern contains comprehensive information on supplies, abbreviation keys, stitch dictionary, stitch count and extra notes to help explain the process.
