This mandala is worked in overlay crochet technique. This technique is deeply rooted in cable and Aran crochet. Overlay crochet created a symmetric textured design.

I used following material for this mandala:
Cotton yarn CATANIA from Schachenmayr and CAMILLA from Woll Butt (yarn weight: fingering /sport; yardage: 136 yds.; weight: 1.76 ounce) and the hook 3.0 mm.
