Oversized Cardigan
Step into the vintage charm of the 1920s with this stunning oversized cardigan design by Ruth Greeven. This piece is the perfect combination of comfort and timeless style, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced knitters. The cardigan is knit in a one-size-fits-all design, accommodating US sizes 6-12, giving it a versatile and flowing fit. The photos feature the cardigan worn by two individuals in sizes 6 and 10, highlighting the flexibility of this design.

TECHNIQUE:
The jacket is knit in one piece, from bottom to top. You start with the back section, and at the neckline, the piece is split to finish the front and back separately. The sleeves are knit directly from the main piece, resulting in minimal seams. The sleeves and side seams are joined in one continuous step, giving the design its soft, flowing look, which makes this piece a real eye-catcher.

The cardigan is crafted from luxurious Rowan Kidsilk Haze yarn, made from 70% mohair and 30% silk. This yarn not only gives the design a soft and lightweight appearance but also makes it incredibly comfortable to wear. The fluffy texture of mohair and the elegant, slightly glossy silk add a touch of luxury while maintaining an everyday wearable quality.

Design Details:
Fit: With its oversized cut, this cardigan fits a wide range of sizes (US 6-12) while maintaining a relaxed, comfortable silhouette. The design is perfect to layer over different outfits, whether casual or more dressed up.
Collar and Front Band: The broad, loose front panels and collar add structure to the design without losing its airy and light feel.
Sleeve Design: The long, relaxed-fit sleeves are ideal for a cozy look and feel, keeping you warm while effortlessly integrating into the overall vintage aesthetic.
