This is a large Christmas stocking that will charm the owl lover in your life.

The knitted design is worked on both front and back of the stocking so it can be hung with the toe pointing either left or right.

The pattern is written for chunky weight yarn, but it could be worked in any weight of yarn.

The sample was knit using Berroco Chunky yarn. You will need two skeins of the main color and one skein of the contrast color.

Stitches used : knit, purl, ssk, k2tog, p2tog and kitchener stitch.

Instructions are given for making a crocheted hanging loop, but a knitted i-chord could also be used.
