I just love to creating the owls :-) And this is one of my another owl’s design. This hat is a wearable, a little bit slouchy, comfortable and cheerful. The pattern is written in eight sizes from baby to adult size. The hat is easy to made, you know how to crochet basic stitches, and little bit advanced stitches like front and back double crochet. But don’t worry the more difficult stitches are explained in the the pattern too.

This pattern is written in standard American (US) terms, in English language, with step-by-step instruction and plenty pictures for succesfull completing of your work. The pattern has 8 pages.

The pattern is written for these sizes: 6/9 months - 12/18 months – 2 years – 3/4 years – 5/6 years – 7/8 years – 9/10 years - adult
Head circumference: 44 cm - 46 cm - 49 cm - 51 cm - 52 cm - 53 cm - 54 cm - 56 cm / 17 1/4”-18”-19 1/4”-20”-20½“-21”-21 1/4”- 22”.

Needed material:

• light / DK weight / 8 Ply/ group 3/ yarn
• hook 4 mm (US 6 hook)
• tapestry needle
• common sewing thread and needle
• pompom maker by Clover average 65 mm
• scissors

I used this yarn:
100% merino yarn Merino Extra Fine by Drops Garnstudio
Weight: DK/ 8ply (11 wpi)
Yardage: 115 yds /105 m in 50g
Gauge: 18 stitches in 4 inches (10 cm)

I used these colors:
Medium gray 04, Dark gray 03, approximately 50 g (1 ball) for pompoms and bill of Cerise 11 (hot pink), small piece of black 02 and off white 01 for the eyes.

I used 111 g / 255 yds of yarn totally for hat for circumference of head 52 cm/ 20½ inches (without pompoms)

Level: intermediate. Basic skills of crocheting are needed. You should know how to crochet these stitches: CH - Chain, SlSt - Slip stitch, SC - Single crochet, DC - Double crochet, Inc – increasing (2 stitches in one stitch), Yo - Yarn over, FpDC - Front post double crochet, BpDC - Back post double crochet
